What is the Women's Ministry?
Women’s Ministry is a place for all women to come together to grow in our love for God and one another through various programs. We hope to create a gospel-centered community and a place where all women, regardless of their life stage, can encourage one another and grow in their love for God’s Word.
What types of events and activities does the women's ministry organize?
The two regular programs that we have are Women’s Bible Studies and Women’s Events. The Women’s Bible Studies are led by staff or women leaders, with each study lasting between 5-10 weeks. The Women’s Events are organized regularly to help women connect with one another and build relationships through fun and casual events. Some of our past events are Craft Workshop, Hiking, Saturday Brunch, and Museum Hopping. If you feel that you are not yet connected to the community or if you are new to Covenant City Church, we would like to encourage you to join one of our programs.
How do I join the Women’s Bible Studies?
Go to the ‘Groups’ tab on the Church Center app, then select ‘Bible Studies’, or through this link WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES. We have groups meeting at various days and times throughout the week, you can choose the group that best suits your schedule.

Go to the ‘Registrations’ tab on the Church Center app or through this link WOMEN'S EVENTS. We usually open the registration two weeks before the event.

How can my kids join the Children's Ministry?
To register for Children's Ministry, you have to first download the church center app and find Covenant City Church. Next, you need to register your children by choosing the age-appropriate class tickets under the Sunday Service event. There are four class tickets: Nursery (0-2 years), Preschool (3-5 years), Junior (6-8 years), and Catechism class (9-12 years). After registering, you can come to the Children’s Ministry welcome table on Sunday to get checked-in for the class. If you are having trouble with registering, our volunteers at the table are ready to help you on Sunday.
Can a parent or a nanny accompany the kids in the Junior classroom (3-5 years old)?
Ideally, we would like the 3-5 years old children to be able to independently join the class activities. However, we understand that transition to a new class setting can be difficult for some children. Parents or nannies are allowed to accompany the child during the transition period. As the child gradually feels more comfortable, parents and nannies will eventually be expected to release the child independently in the classroom.
Why do the children need to join the service together with parents and only be dismissed right before the sermon?
At CCC, we believe that all children are a part of and welcomed at the worship service as they are a part of our church body. We believe it is important for children to grow up being familiar with the liturgy of our worship service as children learn by seeing and modeling after their parents. Furthermore, knowing the liturgy of the worship service will be beneficial when they reach 10-12 years old as they are expected to be able to join the service fully.
Why are the children being brought back to the sanctuary before the communion? (Note: this is only applicable on every first week of the month)
Communion is an important sacrament that points us back to the core truth of our faith: the Gospel. An explanation about the significance of this sacrament and what it is pointing toward are conveyed before the communion. This instruction is important for children to hear as they are growing their understanding and their faith. For children in the catechism class, this experience may prompt further discussion and reflection about whether they are ready to own their faith in Christ and participate in the communion.
How can my kids become a communicant member or join communion?
Twice a year, parents can sign their child up for a Confirmation class led by the elders. This 6-sessions long class will help the children understand more in-depth the 6 points of the membership vows. At the end of the class and if the child is deemed ready, the parent and child will meet with an elder to do a membership vow.
Can I serve in the Children's Ministry? What are the roles and responsibilities?
Absolutely yes, we are almost always in need of new volunteers! Please visit [link to Children’s Ministry page for volunteering] to learn more about how to get involved.
Why do we have to check-in and get a name tag with a security label every week?
For the safety of our children, we implement a check-in procedure with unique security code for each family. This allows our volunteers to make sure children are being released to their parents and not by someone unauthorized. Additionally, the check-in procedure also helps the church to take attendance and see how the Children's Ministry may be growing or decreasing in numbers.
Why does a nanny need their own name tag?
With the ever-increasing number of children, families, and caretakers coming to our Children's Ministry area, the church wants to ensure and keep everyone accountable by having all nannies identified clearly. We would like to prevent unauthorized adults from entering the areas, perhaps by pretending to be a child's nanny.
