Why Covenant Couples Cohort

The marriage bond that was originally meant to feel natural and easy (Genesis 2:23-25), now because of sin feels arduous and complicated (Genesis 3:16). This means when a couple commits to having a good marriage, they are committing to challenge a primordial curse that dates all the way back to the garden. So to say the least, it’s really hard. However, aided by Gospel guidance and done within a Gospel community might make the task a little more bearable, dare we even say, enjoyable. This is what CCC’s Covenant Couples Cohort aims to do. Join us, as we experience the ups and downs of Gospel marriage together in community.

Who can join?

The element that will make or break this cohort is the trust and comfort level that each couple participant has with each other. That being said, we do limit this cohort to CCC members only, and only up to 15 married couples at a time. To sign up please go to the link on the side menu of the page.

How long will it be?

Five, two-hour sessions, once a month. You can see the dates when you click the sign up link at the bottom of the page. If you decide to sign up, we do ask you to try your very best to commit to all the sessions. Sessions will more likely than not happen on Saturday mornings once a month for 5 months.

Where will we have it? 

Our church office in Kemang (Jl. NKF No. 4A, Kemang
Jakarta Selatan 12560).

What will we be doing?

It’s impossible to tackle every marital issue in 5 sessions. We will focus mainly on how to deeply repent from our coercive patterns. We believe in some ways, this mutual tendency to coerce, is the essence of what the Genesis 3:16 curse is. Therefore, seeing how to deeply repent from it, is central to the solution.
